We are glad that you want to study at the University of Würzburg. The Department of German as a Foreign Language provides courses which enable foreign applicants to bring their German up to the standard required for entry to a course of study at a German university. In March and September special intensive courses are offered in preparation for the German Language University Entrance Examination for Foreign Candidates, DSH (Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang). If you are a matriculated student and have a good command of German, supplementary courses are available where you can perfect your language skills in addition to studying your main subject.

Our German courses are open to:
- Students who have already been offered a place at the University of Würzburg. Evidence of knowledge of German at intermediate level must be provided with your application. The
International Office determines who is eligible. - Students on special programmes
